mussels: Lake Piru,
Lake Pyramid, Lake Mead, and Lake Havasu.

the effects of Quagga mussels both on the ecosystem as well as local industry.
Pretend you are in charge of improving the problem with the mussels in your lake. Come up with a solution to the problem.
As a
group: put together a short 4 to 6 slide presentation
with
information you have gathered and be prepared to present. Each person in the group must talk during

Bird Brain Directions:
You are to think up and draw a picture (colored) of a new species of bird that feeds on a particular food source (on the other side of the paper). Draw your bird in its habitat. Be sure to include adaptations in addition to their beaks, such as long legs for a wading bird like the heron. After you draw and color your bird, write a paragraph (at least 6 sentences) describing what adaptations (at least 4 of them) this bird has to feed on its chosen food source and survive in its environment.
