This blog is meant as a back up, students should be writing down homework daily in the binder reminder. If a student is absent, they should look in Google Classroom where everything that was passed out is posted.

Test Coming on Monday for A Block, Tuesday for B block
I meant for this to come a bit earlier, but it's been a long afternoon/evening, so here goes!
The two main topics for the test:
1) Cell Division:
-Interphase, Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase, Cytokinesis.
-You should know what is happening in each phase is the cycle, the correct order, and be able to identify a picture or drawing of each.
2) Genetics:
-know what a gene is
-know how to use and read the information from a punnett square
-know the difference between dominant and recessive genes
-understand hybrid (heterozygous) and purebred (homozygous) genes and how they affect the trait in an organism

Want to Know How the Cell Project Will Be Graded?
For Cell Project Gradesheets, click here
Please note, there are three (very similar) slightly different gradesheets...one for each type of project, be sure you are looking at the one you are doing.
Also, please note: all work should be done IN YOUR OWN WORDS. Be careful not to just copy from the book. Make it your own.
When you think you are done with your project, go through it using this sheet and see if you would give yourself the maximum points in each area.
Projects are due October 10 for Periods 1 and 3, October 11 for Periods 5 and 6.
